An applicant for an AR 15 rifle was denied legal access and ownership because he failed the mandatory 24 hr. background check.
His defense is that he is a member of the media (Chicago Sun Times).
The fact is that he has a history of alcohol abuse and domestic battery (his wife).
This attempt to purchase the gun was a ruse to expose the inadequacy of existing gun laws. The problem is that they worked and he was exposed for ... well ... something he didn't intend to report on.
