yeah i imagine those were some pretty fun rock n roll years. i feel of any era, that was my scene. immersion into the decadent apathy of generation x. even though i don't particularly care for the music. i certainly appreciate it and i've tried really hard to get into pavement. i think i like stephen malkmus' other stuff more

i sang this while gathering wood at my campsite in door county wisconsin that one time i spring breaked there alone with a bottle of jagermeister. long story short i couldn't get a fire going even with a gallon of the gasoline i had always carried (up to that point) for some reason. i don't think that's a great idea. well then it started snowing and i puked inside my tent because i finished off the bottle in the idea that i'd just pass out right? it wasn't that cold and snowing much but it's been brought to my attention that i have poor circulation. i'll camp out in any reasonable temperature at anytime and now that i've finally just boiled water and thrown it into a nalgene bottle, into a sock and down at the bottom of my bag, my toes. it's always the toes!

i don't think i slept. as soon as i gathered it was early enough for some establishment to be open, i didn't hesitate to head south to sister bay and find that unbeknownst to me swedish haunt famous for goats on roof and left my camping gear to attend for another day, unkempt in my trunk. i just wanted a cup of coffee but felt like it was too nice a place just to get coffee. so i got some meatballs. i might have gotten something else, i don't remember. i didn't know i had gone to what you went to al johnson's? that's awesome, so i took my wife there for our one year anniversary. the goats weren't out but you can check out the goatcam on their website if you feel like looking it up

RIP Peter Tork

And another great Monkees tune..

Great guitar and great vocals...

One more...

Lauren O'Connell - Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner
One of the few times I like the cover more than the original.

Sometimes I forget just how many places communism and radical collectivism had to be fought. We talk a lot about Vietnam, sometimes about Korea, but Latin America, Africa, the near East.... All over the place.
