I just finished my 5th year as the PA guy at Magazine. I emailed the AD to let him know that my father had broken his leg and that might affect my dependability for the short term, and that since I serve purely as a volunteer at the pleasure of the administration, they might want to make a change. (Daddy is recovering well.) He wrote me back and said if there were problems just to let him know. "The job is yours as long as you want it." A very kind comment, I thought.

That's a great thing to do Pappy. Those kids will remember your PA announcing when they're our age! Small schools live because of volunteers like you. Thanks
Pappy congrats and thanks for serving the young people and school like that. It's rewarding for you and the kids. And best to your dad. I miss mine every day so every day you have with him is a blessing.
