It's well beyond that. By default, we're showing the way toward a new model of community-university partnership, as television money disappears and football becomes both live entertainment a rallying point for the greater community rather than a vehicle to sell cans of watery "beer" to slack-jawed TV viewers.
It's a fundamental shift, and it goes against the decades-long American Way of sitting back and waiting for others to take action. We took action. We're making changes in our world and we've earned the right to take great pride in that.
