With all teams finished for the season and the draft over we now have a good indicator of who's coming and going. So let's make some hot takes here and predict next season!

I think ECU sweeps regular season and tournament championships, hosts a regional just outside of a national seed (~9-10), hosts a super cause the national seed is eliminated, makes the CWS, and goes 0-2 in CWS.

Not going to try to predict the standings

Temple finishes ahead of SMU.
ECU definitely the front runner
Don't know enough about the other teams to make standings predictions but next year will probably have the highest expectations in the history of ECU baseball. Omaha is literally the expectation.
We return a hell of a weekend rotation with Romero (2.12 ERA), Cumbie (1.29 ERA), and Ullom (2.88 ERA). We'll get our best reliever (Fletcher) back from injury. Davis, Julks, Wong, and Hollis are our notable returning position players. Per Coogfans, we have potentially 48 players competing for 35 spots. I'm hoping there are some .300+ hitters in there, that I don't yet know about. I imagine we'll be right there with ECU at the top.

I'm curious to see if the Florida schools will bounce back. Seeing two schools that regularly flirt with the top 25 with RPIs in the 150s this year was shocking.

You're telling me. Last year we had an RPI as high as 12. This year we finished at 145. Kill me.

We sucked this year, too. It happens. UCF will bounce back, too strong of a program not to.

Tough season for us too but at least we don't suck as bad as Memphis. So we got that going for us, which is nice.

We still have the same coach, I don't expect much different result.
