Today, we found out our second string QB is looking to transfer to another team. We wish Jake Luton the best. I just hope this doesn't trend too severely.

Go Vandals
QBs transfer like crazy this time of year. stAte has had 2 out and one in. I know Troy lost one. Anyone else?
We've lost 20 players from last years' roster, not including the 29 that graduated. I wouldn't take yours as a blood letting just yet.
Yeah. Vandal fans, please relax. Luton is good, and he'd only have 1 year of eligibility left after Linehan is gone. No big shock he'd look to go elsewhere and get on the field.

I've actually been happy with the way the roster has held together so far. I fear for 2017, but we still look OK this year.

We lost a similar amount of non-graduates (22) when we hired Neal Brown. It's part of the weeding out process when you hire a coach that demands accountability. The newfound intensity is too much for some.

Could this be a reflection of the scholarship given to Coach Petrino's son?

What's your theory there? As far as I know the plan is for Petrino's kid to redshirt and be scout team QB this year and probably eventually transition to WR. I'm not seeing where Luton would have a big problem with that. Seems more likely to me that as a talented sophomore stuck behind Linehan for 2 more years he's looking for a place where he can start.
I dont blame any of the players they didnt sign up for that to be dropped on them. I doubt half or more of the out of state players signed with Idaho because they were FBS and not FCS. Most could have gone to a closer FCS school with a similar academic rep. Maybe most of the Washington kids and upper classmen stay but I would prepare for a lot of the out of state under classmen to be looking elsewhere. Since Idaho is still FBS they can transfer to a FCS schools and play immediately I believe.
