We don't need to play Troy anymore.

We just need to show any recruit we are battling with them for this video:

After that last whipping we put on them could you blame them? LoL
But seriously, I figured scheduling would be the issue/excuse.

Great reporting by WBRC. Way to spin it.
Troy sucks.
Take sheep out of that county and the school would dry up
We stopped playing football. They scheduled ahead. Nobody to blame but Watts and the BoT. Of all the things to be heartbroken over, this is way low on the list.
Yep. No one to blame but watts. I don't see how it was spun. They made their schedule. Only reason I would play them is they bring fans. Not as many as Alabama state or A&M but they do bring some. I do not think we should agree to play them in basketball just to play them in football. I'd say no. No way should we agree to a H&H in basketball to play them in football again. Just say no. They should be treated like cannon fodder in basketball.

This.
Public FBS football programs in Alabama who have long football traditions are few, and Troy is the only one that will play UAB H&H. Let's not become a Bama clone and disparage other state universities out of hand. A rotating schedule with USA, Troy, involving H&H commitments for FBS schools may be to UAB's advantage with home games (perhaps with H&H occasionally) against AL State and AL A&M added.

If UAB clearly outgrows such competition in the future, we can always change our scheduling practices to fit new realities. We are not there yet.
If we never play Troy again, and it is Watt's fault, then that is a plus in Watt's favor.

Did you seriously just suggest we play home and homes with fcs schools?

This is a wise man. Some of the Troy faithful were pulling for you guys during your most trying times. I must admit, some of you do sound like the ones you despise the most.

Glad the team is returning. But, some of the fans...not so much.
