Once again, a huge mistake on the NC A@T FB gametime. It will be a 1pm game in mid-September which means a pretty hot day in Tulsa. There was no reason for such an early gametime since it won't be televised except on ESPN3. Will anyone other than the diehards be there?
Just checking some of the other schools in the area on September 17. OU plays Ohio State in Norman. OSU plays Pitt in Stillwater. Arkansas plays at home as well (Texas St). So how many folks think our fans will attend our game against an FCS team at home in the heat of the day instead of watching one of those games on TV or attend one of them in the evening in person after sitting in the heat for three hours at Chapman. Doesn't make good sense IMO.
And get ready for more unfair contracts in the future. Its obvious this is a trend. It doesn't take much work to schedule a 2 for 1 contract or a one and done game like the one at Ohio St this year. IMO we are committing slow suicide once we begin this trend because all the opponent schools AD's will believe they can do this over and over. Need an extra home game? Contact Tulsa!
