We may be better off weather wise heading out of state. Here's the 7 day rain forecast for Texas this week.

Unfortunately Baton Rouge is about as close as you can get...very similar weather to Houston.
I am somewhat surprised they didn't matchup LSU with U LaLa
Fresh arms, fresh start. Let's go Owls!

As mentioned on another thread, a nephew of Ben McDonald pitches for SeLa: Mac Sceroler, a 6-4 Sophomore RHP, their Saturday starter.

Code:
Player         era   w-l app-gs  cg  sho  sv  ip    h   r  er  bb  so  2b  3b  hr   ab  b/avg wp  hbp  bk  sfa  sha
Sceroler, Mac 2.18  10-3  15-15   0  0-3  0  90.2  74  26  22  32  92   7   0   6  335  .221   9   6    1   3    1
So not only will Ben McDonald be rooting for LSU against Rice if we play, but apparently his nephew might start on the mound against us when we play SE Louisiana. Lovely.

Assuming I can cop tickets, I'll be there. Waiting to hear from Shu about our allocation and availability. Unfortunately, with LSU's 10,000+ season ticketholders, i'd be very surprised if we're allocated more than 200 - 300 tickets, which includes 2 tickets each for parents, staff and athletic department personnel.
Tickets should be available on the secondary market. Stub Hub, etc.
Has Rice played at the Box since the 2009 super-regional?
Several times on the selection show, the ESPN hosts mentioned LSU's "rally possum." Here are some links to what happened:

Does our Rally Lemur have any more power left?
I would like some tickets, though Mrs/Dr Big is on call.

Making it very difficult to plan travel. Rice's allotment of tickets is minimal, and we won't know until late Wednesday PM whether those of us who requested tickets will receive them (and how many). The All Pass tickets will not be made available to the public until Thursday mid-day (I'm presuming because the season ticketholders get first dibs at those tickets).
Any recommendations for Baton Rouge hotels? Anyone know yet where the team is staying? Thanks.
