Unfortunately Baton Rouge is about as close as you can get...very similar weather to Houston.

As mentioned on another thread, a nephew of Ben McDonald pitches for SeLa: Mac Sceroler, a 6-4 Sophomore RHP, their Saturday starter.

So not only will Ben McDonald be rooting for LSU against Rice if we play, but apparently his nephew might start on the mound against us when we play SE Louisiana. Lovely.

Assuming I can cop tickets, I'll be there. Waiting to hear from Shu about our allocation and availability. Unfortunately, with LSU's 10,000+ season ticketholders, i'd be very surprised if we're allocated more than 200 - 300 tickets, which includes 2 tickets each for parents, staff and athletic department personnel.

Tickets should be available on the secondary market. Stub Hub, etc.

Making it very difficult to plan travel. Rice's allotment of tickets is minimal, and we won't know until late Wednesday PM whether those of us who requested tickets will receive them (and how many). The All Pass tickets will not be made available to the public until Thursday mid-day (I'm presuming because the season ticketholders get first dibs at those tickets).

Any recommendations for Baton Rouge hotels? Anyone know yet where the team is staying? Thanks.
