04-clap204-clap2 Southern Miss and Rice. Impressive. Did those beat you basketball averages?

Didn't look up what Rice had, but we had 2,994 per game in basketball. So, yes, our baseball did better with attendance than basketball.
We sucked and still had the 5th highest average attendance in baseball. Personally I did not attend a game this year, but I'm glad to see we do have a good base of support for our program.
If the success continues it'll be even better next year.

Why wouldn't they?

We've not added much to the conference when it comes to basketball. We've had a couple of years in a blind squirrel way.

We led in football last year, after coming off the worst three years in our history. Think that says more about the conference than it does us though.
Those numbers only go through Thurs 5/19, which missed some teams' final two games. LA Tech's attendance average including it's final two games was 1,013 fans per game.
Gotta say, those are some impressive numbers at the top. Anyone not in the SEC that draws over 1,000 per game should be very proud.
less than 1K is pretty bad, IMO
Idk if weather has contributed at all, but the rain for the entire month of May might've hurt some.

Touché
I seriously doubt that WKU averaged that many. When yUK isn't on the home schedule it takes a hit. They weren't this year.
Charlotte's attendance doesn't include the 2 home games played in the minor league ballpark downtown. If you throw those 2 in, the average increases to 1,332 per game.
Not bad considering we suck. I'd love to see what we could get if we played at USM or Rice's level.

Your stadium seats about 1150 so those numbers must include the folks on the sidewalk, the street, and those sitting over on the railroad tracks.

This. And I read that Charlotte's numbers also do NOT include the 2 games we hosted in our downtown ballpark. Including those numbers would put Charlotte's average at 1332.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see wh already posted this info.

We don't suck. We still have a lot of room to get better, but the team doesn't suck.
I'm shocked we are not last. Our "home" field is an hour plus drive away. We really need to fix that!
