Starting this thread early. Add your ideas below for how Rice can break out of this funk. Here's my contribution:

Sometimes ya just gotta do what ya just gotta do...

Taking a dive, cause you can't halt the slide
Floating downstream (I'm taking a dive)
Oh, so let her go, don't start spoiling the show
It's a bad dream (I'm taking, I'm taking)

And you ----
And your sweet desire
You took me ----
Ah, higher and higher, baby!

It's a Livin' Thing!
It's a terrible thing to lose
It's a given thing...
What a terrible thing to lose

Chicken sacrifice?

Well, we could adopt the Superchicken's method:

Of course, that's kinda like drugs, isn't it?
where has Jobu been?

Someone steal Jobu's rum?

Marshall beats ODU. Now leading Conference USA. Wow. Hats off to the Herd.
Sorry it wasn't a chicken sacrifice, "you've got to cut the head off a roster"!

Or maybe the Owls need to bring back the rally Lemur?

What we need is a "Power Owlet"
Time for a slump buster!

Is that you, Mark Grace?
Since we did nothing against their sub-par starter last night, I'm not exactly optimistic about our chances against the best pitcher (along with their closer) and, by far, their best startyer...

Casey Sutton (RS Jr, RHP): 14 app, 6 starts, 6-1, 2 complete games, 61.1 IP, 1.47 ERA, .222 BAA, 20 BBs, 39 Ks

...and a soft-tosser, no less. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm predicting ground ball after ground ball after ground ball.

We need Fox to provide the Senior leadership and play the stopper for us....and we desperately need to get on the board early to take away LaTech's confidence and momentum.
Teykl still out...

Warren
Chandler
Proctor
Gray
Myers
DiCaprio
Lewis
Wunderlich
Kopycinski

Fox

Four left-handed batters followed by five right-handed batters. Nothing like a balance lineup.
Play ball!

Warren flied out.
Chandler singled. Runner on 1B, one out.
Proctor grounded into double play.
Do we lead the country in hitting into double plays? Certainly, the past 3 weeks we have been averaging over 2 DPs per game. Ridiculous.

Scoreless heading to the bottom of the first inning.
Beautiful first inning by Fox.
One out double by Dane leads to nothing. Going to B2. 0-0.
Quick 1-2-3 inning for Blake, with one strikeoutK. Really pounding the strikezone early; something we haven't see from Rice pitchers in over a week now.

Gray struck out on 3 pitches. Ugh...against a guy who strikes out just over 0.5 batters per IP.
Myers opposite field double (after hitting one out to RF that went just foul)! One out.
DiCaprio first pitch ground out. Geez. And again, with a slow tosser, we need to go the other way or we're just going to hit ground balls. Can't we have just wee bit of patience here. Runner on 3B, two outs.
Lewis flied out.

Scoreless heading to the bottom of the second inning.
