These are halcyon days for ACC programs. Florida State won the 2013 national football championship and a year later qualified for the inaugural College Football Playoff. Clemson reached the CFP final last season, losing an epic title game to Alabama, 45-40.

In men’s basketball, Duke claimed the 2015 NCAA championship, followed by North Carolina and Syracuse advancing to the Final Four this past season. ACC teams won 36 NCAA tournament games the past two years, more than any other two conferences combined -- the Big Ten won 20, the Big 12 and Big East 14 each, the Pacific 12 a dozen, and the SEC nine.

The ACC is the only conference to be represented in the College Football Playoff and men’s basketball Final Four each of the last two years. Moreover, Virginia is the reigning College World Series baseball champion, and an ACC team has reached the NCAA women’s basketball title game three years running.

Thanks for sharing.

I love this line. Truer words never spoken....

'....if money were everything, the Big Ten would have a helluva lot more than one men’s basketball and two football national titles in the last 25 years..."
I have to think that the focused exposure an ACC network would bring to the Olympic Sports, both men and women, would be a tremendous tool. Right now, it takes work to find where to watch.
The ACC is completely undervalued....it should be the 3rd big money conference

The Big XII and PAC 12 are the ones with substantial issues

Only for the ACC.

Typically you can find two SEC baseball games on TV, one on the SEC network and one on one of our valued media partner's three channels. I was flipping through during the red flag of the race yesterday and was able to watch a few minutes of Big XII baseball on Fox Sports Net. SEC softball was on another time I was flipping around. This coming weekend the ESPN listings show that there will be SEC baseball on both the SEC Network and ESPNU simultaneously at least once this weekend.

I've been able to watch more Pac12 baseball on TV this year than ACC baseball, but I guess that isn't hard when the entire season our valued TV partner has only seen fit to put nine ACC games on an ESPN TV network.
And the top 10,15 and top 25 is just loaded with ACC teams. I watched the Louisville series with NC State on my roku and firestick. It was perfect quality but it's still an extra step.

Maybe they are seeing how much we stream in order to determine interest

I understand your point that ESPN screws the ACC with baseball coverage, but it doesn't bother me.

I just Chronecast from the WatchND or WatchESPN app. No problems.

Is this a special network for old cronies? 03-old

(and why wasn't I informed about it?)

It's great that you are OK with taking several more steps to watch what you want to watch. I'm not. I bought a TV to watch sports on and a computer to surf the net on.

If we had intelligent people running our negotiations we would have had what we had in the past.....if ESPN didn't put a sport on broadcast TV the rights revert back to the conference and we could sell it on the open market to whomever. Used to be able to see a ton of ACC baseball on other networks, usually a game every weekend. I have to imagine that Fox Sports Carolina and Fox Sports South would be a whole lot happier with being able to actually attract a few viewers to watch ACC baseball instead of having to broadcast Big XII baseball.

If I understand Kap; then I am in agreement with him. I don't watch sports on my laptops. I want to watch them on my flat screen tv. I want the ACC Network to be part of my TWC Digital Sports Package, because that is where I can see content from the Big 10 Network, the PAC 12 Network, the SEC Network, the Longhorn Network & the multiple ESPN & Fox Sports Networks channels. Please don't tell me the ACC Network is an Internet thing. It will kill the conference.
Nothing sounds more inferior than internet streaming only !

I watch it on my flatscreen TV. All I have to do is cast it from my phone or laptop to the flatscreen.

It really isn't that big of a deal.
Remember when VCRs and DVD players were an "extra device"? Streaming devices like Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Firestick, Chromecast, etc are the VCRS and DVD players now. When it turns into a gift for your parents, the future is here. I bought my parents one because I got tired of him complaining about missing games and not wanting to go in the basement to watch the games on his computer. A simple $40 device solved the problem
slightly off topic, but the really cool nugget that came out recently is that Comcast is going to provide an app on Samsung smart TVs and Roku that would replace the cable box. It's supposed to be available later this year. I've been wondering why it hasn't happened sooner.
