Trey's interview after the Jazz workout

An excellent young man and great ambassador for ODU. Wish him well
Of all the players at ODU that have crossed our families' path, Trey Freeman (and Taylor Heinicke) are the ones that through their work ethic, professional public demeanor, and in-game excellence that I, without reservation, wish no ceiling is too high.

Freeman has been a blessing and I hope he gets every opportunity at the next level, both in the US and offshore. A role model for all that follow as to how to integrate, and lead, a program with dignity, class, and athletic excellence.

Good luck!
Trey Freeman is a good man. I hope he goes far.
Ed Miller tweeted a Utah Jazz interview of Trey regarding his pre draft workout. I can't get it to play on my phone. Perhaps you will have better luck. If so, please post a recap. Thanks.

Essentially, Trey continues to be very humble and appreciative of this opportunity he's been given. Says he just wants to make a team, even if it's as a practice player. Knows that the mid-range game is his bread and butter, wants to try and improve his long range, defending in space and basketball IQ. Wants to improve physically and mentally.

It also looks like they pulled him over for the interview immediately after a marathon run. Dude was still catching his breath at the start of it.

Thanks NYG, I didn't realize that.
Thank you for the recap Blue_Trombone!
My favorite quote from the interview was when he said he wanted to be the "First one to get in the gym and last one to leave." I know that he was like that at ODU (remember when coaches would have to force him to leave the gym after staying late after practice?) and I love that he's continuing his hard work ethic. I wish him all the best!
I got to see Freeman and Bacote receive their Masters degrees yesterday at the Ted. Nice!

Bacote receiving his masters is very impressive considering he was only here 4 years. Congrats to both.

Bacote didn't earn his masters. His bio says he is a finance major

Not sure I understand the rebuttal regarding the statement that JJMonarch said "Bacote received his masters degrees yesterday at the Ted" Yet you state "Bacote didn't earn his masters. His bio says he is a finance major" Just a foot note Freeman's Bio says he a Finance Major.

I am not sure if Bacote received his Masters or not, I just find it odd that you would take exception to another posters eye witness account that "I got to see Freeman and Bacote receive their Masters degrees yesterday at the Ted", I am assuming you are relying on a Bio that may or may not have been updated.

Step 1: Look at cup half empty
Step 2: Instantly disregard eye witness
Step 3: Find "evidence" to corroborate your story
Step 4: Post on message board

Note: everyone who earns a Masters Degree has an undergraduate major.

I didn't mean to stir up any controversy. Both guys walked with their respective colleges in the groups that were ahead of those receiving BS degrees. I assumed both got advanced degrees.

I was really there to see my daughter receive her bachelors degree. I am one proud Dad and proud alum!

Congratulations to you and your Daughter.
