I didn't realize that EMU has seven candidates for the Olympic trials.
Dear steve,
I was going to wait until next week to tell everyone the news that you just reported. I am a member of the Arm of Honor, and we were going to make the announcement official this week-end at our Alumni Day celebration, at the Eagle Crest Golf Resort. We certainly hope our donation will be matched by other donations.

Ken, what is this alumni Day celebration at the Eagle Crest Golf Resort?
Dear Luckeyone,
Our fraternity always holds a gathering once a year called Alumni Day. It has been held at different locations through the years, and this year it is going to be held at the Eagle Crest. For the last few decades it has always been held on the Saturday before Mother's Day. It's a time to get together, swap old stories, talk about the good old days, and play golf, if one chooses. We are hoping that seventy-five or more brothers show. I think about forty some are going to golf.
We have had many brothers participate in inter-collegiate athletics while at Eastern. The very first name on the Ring of Honor at Rynearson, Andy Vanyo, was a member of our fraternity.

Ken,

That's awesome! I was a DIII basketball recruit back in the day but not even close to playing any higher level basketball. I admire D1 athletes. Have a great time!
