Saw this story in the Minneapolis newspaper:

Najarian, Goetz, Frazier among 9 top candidates in Gophers AD search

Sources say a group of top candidates, consisting of interim AD Beth Goetz and eight men with Upper Midwest ties, has emerged as the application deadline nears.
STOP TAKING OUR BALD GUYS, MINNESOTA.

That's a lot of candidates.
Here is another article. Alvarez once again throwing his support behind Frazier for a BIG job. Seems like a lot of heavy hitters with Minnesota ties in the mix for the job.

It's too soon (for NIU). Need another year with SF and hopefully a state budget. It would really suck if he left now.
Would hate to see Frazier get stuck in Minnesota He probably doesn't want that either
Minnesota would be a tremendous job for Frazier. If he can get that job God bless him.

I would really think he is aiming higher than that

Minnesota is a great job! Big 10 school on the rise w plenty of funding to work with and a lot of new facilities

What would be a better job than that within his reach?
All I know is that Minnesota is a step up from NIU. If you think Frazier wouldn't take it because he is waiting for something bigger you are out of your mind.

Of course it is a better and more high profile position. And, if he is offered the job, he should take it, which I assume he would.

Why was he interviewing at Temple then? The difference between the Big 10 and the MAC is night and day (prestige, money, revenue no comparison). If he gets offered the job he is gone.

That's reality!

Just MD slamming the BIG and baiting the board to respond...
I didn't know about Temple. Seems like STF can't wait to get the hell out of dodge.
Being in the AAC would buy us sometime with him for a bit longer IMO.

Exactly!

As long as we remain in the MAC we will be a revolving door for both coaches and administrators. Those that can't see that are fools....
Buyout? We need to keep raising our buyouts. If we can gouge a Pig10 school for seven figures everytime they poach from us it helps even the score a bit.

Anybody know the bounty on Frazier?

Got to be tough to be the NIIU AD right now. The state is broke and has no money to help build the program. Despite some creative efforts the fan base has shrunk rather than grown.

I am appreciative for Mr. Frazier's efforts to improve our schedule and for his efforts at improving our game day experience. The Yard is a really nice and well executed concept. I have no idea why NIU football does not sell out regularly and often.

If he does move on soon I wish him well and I hope that he helps us locate a solid replacement.

I wonder if the school could make more efforts to make more of a connect with the academic side of things and the sports side of things. UCF, for example, closes down their school for classes a bit early on game days and excuses students from classes at that time to help bolster student attendance. It has beenworking wonders

I'll pass on trying to copy UCF. Did the end up winning a game last year?
