Good deal!
Last season, Wilder patted himself on the back for a successful summer camp that had a thousand attendees. In that year, he failed to keep his team healthy prior to the start of the season. He gave the reigns to an unprepared quarterback which resulted in an inept offense. His defense continued to fail. A blowout from App State and a come from behind win against a team that isn't quite filled with FBS talent pretty much told the tale of the season. The final toll was a pass play on a 4th and short that sent the team home for the season instead of a bowl. The subsequent recruiting performance had ODU ranked 8th in CUSA for 2016. All in all, a pathetic job performance by Wilder. But he held a great summer camp so not all was lost. Seems to me that he's more concerned with these camps that his own team.

It will be interesting how ODU is seen in the eyes of the ACC and SEC if it allows Harbaugh on campus.

That is one of my concerns with this camp. I'd love to see the SEC and ACC elite come to campus for a game. Having an FSU or a UGA game at our stadium would be golden.

The other concern is recruiting. Wilder was pretty pathetic in the 757. He only got one from the 757 in 2016, a 2 star 210 lb. OLB from Suffolk. He also had some major defections and finished 8th in CUSA recruiting. So why the heck does he allow an orgy of coaches on his turf to compete with him for recruits.

Oh well, let the whoring begin! (you didn't think I would end this post without using that word did you? LOL)

The part where it says "I root for VT" automatically makes me dismiss what you say. Everyone has a down year, even elite NFL teams.

Most of your post is just silly, so I'll just address this.

A) I could not care less how ODU is "seen in the eyes of the ACC and SEC." If they don't like the fact that Harbaugh is recruiting their turf, they need to get over themselves. The kids here deserve every chance in the world to be seen by any coach willing to come here and host a camp.

B) I'm sure Bobby would love to have the ACC and SEC coaches here to co-host a camp. It's their rules that are stopping them. It's not Bobby's doing. (And, for what it's worth, it looks like the ACC is already deciding that they will lift their conference ban on satellite camps.)
How about that, all it took was near universal national condemnation and darn if the NCAA did not reverse their decision. 04-cheers

This wasn't ODU having a bad season, it was Wilder's failure to protect his starters from injury prior to the start of the season, his inability to field a viable defense and his fail decision to allow an unproven quarterback to lead his team.

Look, I have no problem with these camps as long as P5, G5 or elite FCS coaches aren't there to compete with ODU for recruits.

Good Luck!

Players get hurt, it is a part of the game that can't be avoided. Just go on ignoring all of Harry's articles about technology the coaches put in place to monitor the players. Sometimes **** just happens. An unproven quarterback was going to be playing no matter what. Washington didn't have significant meaningful playing time. Again that happens when you have a proven starter for 3+ years but you will fins some reason to complain no matter what.

Michigan stole one of our 3 star linemen. I could imagine other SEC teams doing the same to ODU. I won't put it passed them. They don't like what Harbaugh is doing and won't like ODU for hosting him either. If Wilder goes through with this, look for SEC teams to retaliate against ODU by offering its commits. This is a nasty business.

The problem is, Wilder can't hope to host all of them so I think it's best to remain neutral. Instead he gives the Big 10 and advantage by inviting 3 of them to campus. Looks like Wilder couldn't care less about the SEC and ACC as well. We'll see how that works out.
I don't see what one had to do with the other. He may not be as great a coach as he is t promotion of the program but it has nothing to do with lack of attention to the kids on the team

The SEC coach that offers our commits out of revenge is not going to have his job very long. No matter what happens, if a SEC coach thinks one of our kids is good enough to be offered, he's going to offer. These camps won't change that one bit.
Sounds like someone needs a nap!
Bobby says he's going to call UVa and VT and invite their coaches.

The ACC and SEC changed their rules today.
But they are against it.
I guess they wont stand on principle right?

Most athletes do not have to go to satellite camp to get noticed. Once its in the media and in the records that ODU or some mid majors are recruiting them, big schools and mid schools automatically look at that player. Be it in basketball or football, if that athlete is valuable to them then they will send offers as well. That is why you often see many offers coming to athletes after their press release that they got offers or made a commitment to x school. Some will even change their commitments like they do at ODU. It happens everywhere!
