As a UALR and Tulsa alum and fan I welcome you back to the Rock. I am looking forward to seeing you work with this excellent group of guys this season. In Tulsa I remember watching you, Rafael Maldonado, Pooh Williamson and Shea Seals play at the convention center during my first year in grad school there. I also had a face to face pregame meeting with you with the Tip-in Club members at Alltel (now Verizon) Arena when you coached at LR. Your lone season on staff at UALR in Porter's first year was the largest turnaround in the NCAA that year (18 wins from 4 the previous year). So you have been an important part of our history already. I heard your name and I had to verify who you were at the time because there was another fellow with a similar sounding name that brought our Trojans severe pain from 75 feet in New Orleans in 1997 (click here for youtube video). Thankfully you were the smart, talented Kwanza Johnson I remember from Tulsa and NOT Kwan Johnson.

So from now on I hope you don't mind being called "Za".
