That would be cool.

For me it would have to be a walk though only.
That'd be a blast - - I'd be in.....that is unless you're referring to a jocks-only alumni game...?
We actually had a game like this in +/- 1983? I'd be in.... though I doubt my 'services' would be necessary, or still very high on the depth chart.

It'd be a great reason/excuse to get all the pros back, even if they didn't/couldn't play.
That'd be awesome to watch and a great way for former players to stay involved with program while fans could see if Clement and Dillard can still dial it up.

I'd want to see baseball and basketball do something similar too.

Basketball did this year.

There was an alumni flag football game, "coached by Media personalities," during halftime of the 1989 Spring Blue-Gray Game.

An article on page 13 of the April 21, 1989 Thresher mentioned it ...

Quote:Halftime featured a flag football game for past Owls, including passing wizard Mark Comalander, who saw his last play at Rice in '87, and 6'7" defensive enormo-tackle Clenzie Pierson, who anchored the defense in '80-'82

... and featured two photos of Clenzie's enormo pecs & abs:

(There were advance notices of the game in the two prior Thresher issues (April 7/p. 16 and April 14/p.20)
I really would be interested. I'm sure a bunch of my buddies (who are recent grads as well) would be up for it. I could name 10 off the top of my head that would probably be in for an alumni flag football game.
Does baseball not have an alumni game? If not, I think that'd be a great thing to start. Football too obviously to stay on thread topic. Kudos to Rhoades for getting that started in basketball.

Yes, baseball has had several variations of an alumni game over the years. Current players vs. alumni players, alumni players vs. alumni players. I still remember Berkman when he was with the Astros launching one over the scoreboard during one of those games.
