Sophomore LB Malik Fountain arrested for assaulting two women in a bar. Must be something in the water up there. Drives people insane.

Why is a 19-year-old kid hanging out at a bar anyways?

It happened in December during football season, but he was just arrested this week.

They're finally getting around to last year's rape kits and Chip bar brawls.

Here is Dave Heeke's "Championship Culture" on full display. 03-puke

And not a single current CMU football coach, or player, has ever been part of ANY of the MAC Championships their fans like to wave in our faces.

And not a single current CMU football player has ever beaten WMU in Mount Pleasant.

CMU had a legitimate "Championship Culture," on and off the field, with the Jones regime. Heeke's decision to hire from outside that staff led to chaos on the field, felonies off it, empty stands and lack of donors.

Bonamego was a good hire to clean-up the mess Enos left. However, it will take him a while, particularly with so many of Enos' "look the other way" staff still in Mount Pleasant.

Proud to be a Bronco...and that the Cannon Trophy resides in Kalamazoo where it belongs. Every one of our current players was part of earning it.
Article stated "there were several other CMU football players" at the bar/crime scene. Never fear, I'm sure they'll come forward and clear everything up as to what exactly happened. Just like they did as part of the Jerry Seymour murder investigation.....NOT!

Remember, "Chimps don't snitch."
LOL! The gifs have become more modern, but the hatred of everything CMU remains the same with you guys, huh? 04-clap2

More current CMU football players have been accused of hitting women than have beaten WMU in Mount Pleasant.

Championship Culture!
I remember being envious of their winning streak, traditions and championships back in the day, plus their following was really good as well. They've rebounded from the dark days when they hired that U of M assistant (Debored?), they could again, you never know. The last time their ascension to championship status only took three years under Kelly, and he started with nothing to speak of program wise.

I hope I'm wrong, maybe this time they're down and out for good.

While Bonamego appears to be a decent coach, he is no Brian Kelly or Butch Jones. And Dave Heeke appears to be requiring him to hold onto many of Dan Enos' assistant coaches, effectively tying Bonamego's hands from changing the dirty culture of the program (which took Kelly some time, even with an entirely new staff).

As Chipdip2 has pointed out, CMU's recruiting has tumbled and Heeke has alienated many in the mid-Michigan region, so the donor pool has shrunk. Things are a mess in Mount Pleasant.

Heeke had everything going for CMU after the 2009 season. His curious decision not to hire one of Jones' assistants to keep some continuity in the program was a gift to WMU and other MAC competitors. Enos was a "WTF?" hire compounded by Heeke giving him five years to bury the program.

Meanwhile, WMU has dominated CMU since Jones left and things look pretty good for the Broncos the next 2-3 years against CMU.

Get used to the Cannon Trophy being in Kalamazoo, but do not take it for granted (ghosts of 2000 and "the fumble" of 2010 come to mind).

04-cheers
