He probably would have had he been offered the head coaching job. But an assistant at UNLV is probably going to make a lot more than one here. It's a good move for him.

Definitely don't underestimate how much being able to pay an assistant is really worth. It also makes it easier to keep them around.

He don't want to be a head coach.

Then he made the right move for him. He's a nice man, and a very good coach. He'll be a great asset as part of the team at UNLV.

That was my question about Flannigan. He had been an assistant at some bigger programs than here, and here he comes back. Meaning no other job offers. So we make him the head coach. Yahoo.

Watching Board of Regents live feed on YouTube. I've seen four say they're voting "no" on the contract. Not sure how many 'nos' he can get...dadgum!

Contract passed. As I counted 9-5.

I stand corrected, it was 9-4. Someone apparently said their vote twice and I didn't realize it.

It's blurry, but we all know that's a Little Rock pin on his lapel. Surely someone could've photoshopped it out. I'm a PS novice and I could've done that much.

If he has, they haven't been announced. I have a sneaking suspicion that if anyone has been hired, an announcement will be made Monday night at the big shindig at the River Market.
