Is there anything more he loves than hating on this country?

Quote:America must have the “courage to acknowledge” its role in Argentina’s human-rights abuses

America can’t be slow talking about human-rights violations, as we’ve done in Argentina

The Constitution’s separation of powers makes it hard for America to adapt to the changing times

America must do more to promote equality

America needs to reduce discrimination

America suffers from “political polarization”

America was built by slaves

America has too much money in politics

America has a problem with racially-biased criminal justice system, a racially-biased society, and a legacy of slavery & segregation

Many American states would have forbidden his biracial parents to marry — had they tried

Many American schools in the south were segregated when he was young

American democracy is imperfect

America’s political process is not pretty, as evidenced by the current 2016 race

Cuba’s Castro’s more readily sharing his thoughts on where America is “falling short” will help us improve

He “doesn’t disagree” with Castro’s view that America should provide “free” health care, education, and social security to all

At a townhall in Buenos Aires, said one area Americans need to improve is developing “a greater awareness of the world outside of the United States.”

At the same townhall, Obama said the Republican Party is no longer a “mainstream” political party, and that it’s become far more right-wing as a result of its opposition to him.

Finally, he critiqued the tendency in American politics to focus so much on “sound bites,” which he attributed to skepticism of global warming.
A lot of those are true statements. Sorry that you don't agree with facts.
And to think How Many decent Americans were Suckered into voting for This P.O.S. . Thankfully, I wasn't One of Them, and will not support His Understudy...Hillary !!!!!!

You're right, but I don't think that's what's bothering people. Recounting our dirty laundry a bit excessively on foreign trips can rub people the wrong way.

That said, I don't know in what context they were said. Always careful not to react to snippets and one-liners no matter who we're talking about.
GD kkkonstitution!

You upset people either way. It shows contrition and understanding, while offering hope that they can achieve America's success too. I don't think it would have gone over to well to go there and brag about how awesome America is and how much they suck.
The douchebag of a President loves to hate on America and he loves to bow to his Arab buddies he loves so much.

Yeah, but he's the friggin' POTUS for crying out loud. He's supposed to represent the US in a positive light. Leave all the hate to the news folks.

I wouldn't go the bragging end of the spectrum either.

Like I said, I don't know the context of those statements (I can't view the clip where I am), and those comments could've been sprinkled throughout a whole week. So I'll give the benefit of the doubt here.

Being humble and self-aware of shortcomings is a good thing, so long as it doesn't cross the line into a constant refrain of 'America Guilt.'

Maybe he's come down with a case of white guilt and he's transposed it into expressing it to foreigners?? SMH.

I don't know if those comments are hateful. It's like saying "It rained really bad back home and there were a few car accidents". Not a positive thing but it happened.

I would say that the truth of falsity of any of them is subject to a lot of interpretation. There's very little he said that can be shown to be objectively true--or false.

That being the case, as POTUS he is in fact expected to put forth things in the best possible light. He has consistently failed to do that.
What the bizzle said.

What else did he say? The OP is obviously picking which statements to put in his post.
Man, that's a lot of things America has to work on. If only Obama had the podium, the stage, maybe even a strong political office, where he could be impactful over the course of nearly a decade? You know, to really make a difference?

Vote Obama 2016!

The U.S. is a jumbo jet flying at Mach 3. There are no quick changes, and if there are, they're usually bad.
