Boy, oh boy. You should have said the AFC, that would have been funnier. Then NFL fans could get annoyed with watching games on their turf.

I'm not getting why AAC fans are against Boise joining the conference. It seems like a good fit. All Boise would have to do is dump their other sports in a regional conference and watch the contract dollars swell due to a good fit. What's not to like? I have no inside sources on this issue - just an opinion from a fan of Boise and the AAC.

Boise and BYU football only would be fine but I doubt it happens.

Boise State and San Diego State with TCU should have been in the AAC right now, but all the big name schools left, and Boise and San Diego State went back to MWC because the AAC went to a water down conference. I do not think the AAc wants to get any teams from the Mountain and Pacific time zones since they got burned.

Add those and complete separation from the rest of the G5..true tweener league

The AAC separated itself the moment it created itself. All this league needs is one good basketball team/program to offset Navy.

Both AAC and MWC have separated from the rest of the G5.
Maybe have the best G5 conference by combining the 2 plus the best from the other G5 and FCS to create a super conference stretching from coast to coast.
West Coast:
Hawaii
Boise State
BYU
Utah State
San Diego State
Fresno State
San Jose State
Portland State
Eastern Washington
UNLV
UNR
Sacramento State/Cal-Davis/Cal. Poly
Central:
Houston
Colorado State
SMU
New Mexico
Tulsa
Air Force
Wyoming
Wichita State
North Dakota State
Montana
UTEP
UTSA
Southeast:
UCF
USF
Georgia Southern
UAB
Tulane
Memphis
Arkansas State
Southern Mississippi
Georgia State
Middle Tennessee State
Charlotte
FIU (Miami TV Market)
Midwest:
Northern Illinois
Akron
Cincinnati
Toledo
Western Kentucky
Marshall
Indiana State
Ohio U.
Milwaukee
Northern Iowa
Missouri State
Western Michigan
Northeast:
UConn
U. Mass.
Navy
Delaware
James Madison
Stony Brook
Temple
Buffalo
East Carolina
Army
Towson
New Hampshire
They will be in regions, and cross over games would be once every few years. 12 x 5 = 60 team conference. Could get a better tv conference in almost every state.

That's the whole problem. Boise has the mindset of a mini Texas. Do you think Texas would join the PAC-12 and then stick their sports in CUSA?
Essentially what Boise would be doing...the only conference that would take them without football is the Big West. And I would be willing to bet money that many people could not tell you what teams are in the Big West. If the AAC offered all sports Boise would leave the Mountain West before they could hang up the phone.
