1. Sign one big time recruit (mid major program maker)
2. Plus .500 against D1 teams in OOC
3. Win the SBC regular season
4. Win the SBC Tournament
5. Make the NCAA Tournament

Those are all doable from where I am sitting. This team should expect to win and expect to make it to the dance.
Reasonable list.

Andre Jones is a 3-star, as much as that is worth.
If he was a Razorback signee, or if he played in another state, he'd be a four star.
Plus, Jalen Jackson was a 3-star out of HS, so we will have two on the roster.

Probably same with Jalen. He was the second ranked player in the state behind Archie Goodwin, who was a one and done at Kentucky.
If Jalen had played outside Arkansas, he might have been rated higher. I don't know if they had ratings when Fish played, but he'd have either been unrated, or a 2 star at best, and he has five NBA rings if I recall correctly. Some players continue to improve and others reach their peak early and don't work hard enough to be a good college player. So I'm thrilled with Andre. He'll be an all league contender before he's through if he works hard to improve.04-cheers
Don't get completely caught up in stars. The higher ranked guys are ranked for a reason. They've shown something and they've been seen a lot. Some guys just aren't seen enough to get an accurate account of what they have to offer. Ron Baker was unranked and became an All American and is likely to get a shot in the NBA.

Yeah, we're still peeved about Ron Baker. He was coming here until you guys snatched him up. Would have loved to have had him as a Little Rock Trojan. Actually we were UALR in those days. He's had a great career for you. Hope he has a chance to play at the next level.04-cheers
Stars are very often based on who is recruiting you. You think these guys at Rival's see every player in the country. Outside is right- if a big name school had signed Andre he would probably be a 4 star by now. I was going to saying Arkansas instead of "big name school", but as irrelevant as they have been for 2 decades that moniker no longer applies.
They're still in the SEC, which, although down this year, is still a Power 5 conference, so I believe if he had signed with Arkansas, he would have been a four star. But IMO, he is at least a four star, and will prove his worth in his years as a Little Rock Trojan.

ESPN lists Che Bob as a 3-star, so if we hold him, that would be three. Have we ever had three 3-stars on the roster?
That would be a niner! Three threes!
Goals for next year is to get Marcus Johnson Jr. Lis, and Mareik the ball as much as possible. Marcus and Mareik need at least 12 to 15 shots per game. Need to make up the scoring for Josh and Roger and they have to do it.

I don't see that happening if we still play 10 or 11 players. Too many guys who can shoot for players to get that many shots. In theory it sounds good, but unless we play a lot faster pace then this season, we just won't create that many shots, I don't believe. But I like your idea.
Maybe it will happen.04-cheers

Wes said he would like to play a little faster and press a little more. He did note that he is smart enough to know not to change a whole lot from the system Beard ran this past season. Seems like with what we have coming back, the redshirts that sat out, and the newcomers we should be in the thick of the Sun Belt race. Seems like ULM will be losing a lot. ULL is losing Long. GaSt will likely be back, a healthy UTA will certainly be fighting for the top spot, GaSo has everybody back from an improving team, and Coastal will be a nice addition. Should be an interesting race. We could well be the preseason favorite, but I really don't have a clue what the other teams will have. GaSt seems to always have some P5 transfers sitting out and signed, at least, one 4 start guard (decommitted from Mississippi State).

Those are the guys, and I figure Jackson will be in the mix as well.
