Really plroud of this team for focusing after the tough loss to MT and missing the NCAA. They made the most of the investment the university made in sending them to Las Vegas.

Closing out the game strong and making sure Freeman and Bacote go out as winners. Great tournament and last month or two from this squad. Never want to play the what if game but Stith's injury threw this season off a bit. Glad they were able to rebound and finish strong. Trey MVP and AB all-tourny team, perfect end.
25-13 with a strong crop of talent next year including the highest rated recruit/transfer the squad has had in decades. Should be an interesting off-season.
Fitting that Freeman's last points in his ODU career helped put the game out of reach in the final seconds. Awesome! Feels good to end this season on a win

Thanks Seniors and the rest of our Monarch team. I am so, so going to miss Trey Freeman both as a player and young man. He is what the PRIDE of the Monarchs is all about.
Is there any team in the country with a better winning percentage in March non-NCAA tournaments?

FWIW, Jones coached a great game today. We got a bunch of buckets out of timeouts and needed every one of them.

Yup! People are going to try to bash us for winning a "meaningless" tournament, but you tell those guys out there and coaches that it means nothing. Given the situation, we took the opportunity given and made the best of it and came out on top. Ready for next season already.
