The guys who are going to grab the most minutes on the court this next season. I see Deshawn Watkins, Marcus, Jr., Lis, probably in the top five. The other two. Maybe Oliver Black and the sleeper might be Thomas Brandsma. Obviously Jalen, Kemy, Mariek and Marius will get significant playing time. But I think Deshawn and Marcus will dominate the time played. The others, along with possibly newcomers, will fill in as needed04-cheers
Totally Wrong
Marcus,Lis and Mareik will get the most minutes. They are the 3 starters returning.
If Deshawn is the starting point guard, I see him getting Josh type minutes. Lis will definitely get a lot of minutes is he can stay out of foul trouble, and Mariek should get good minutes, but he seems to split time with Kemy, so I don't see him as one of the top two. However if he stays healthy and continues to improve, he'll certainly get good minutes. This is not meant to put anyone down. It's just trying to figure out who will be the top minute getters. Marcus was one of the top two this season, and I can't see that changing. The rest are just guesses on my part. I could be all wrong. It's just something to think about.
Marcus, Lis and Mareik are already the top three returners in minutes played, so we can assume they will stay there. Whoever ends up at point probably will be the fourth. Roger's minutes might go by committee, but my guess would be that Jackson will get more of them than anyone else. And, of course, there's Black.
Thank you Michaelspappy, I don't know what Outsideualr is talking about about minutes next season. Also Mareik have missed one game in 3 seasons and all you here is about him healthy. Where is that coming from. He had a knee surgery during his red-shirt freshman year and the hernia surgery last summer. Best a sprained ankle at the NCAA tournament. So what's up with the staying healthy issues.

It was a comment that could apply to anyone. I probably used it with Mo because he was unable to practice all of this past pre season and as I recollect, athough he was able to play some in games, wasn't in shape to play what became his normal amount of minutes until probably mid season. So in all fairness, IMO, he had had health issues. I hope he never has them again, but I think it was a fair assessment. But with that said, the only player coming back who I think will definitely play the most minutes, assuming he stays healthy, is Marcus, Jr. The staying healthy caveat applies to everyone. Most years we've had someone who had some sort of injury that sidelined him. Fortunately we have a lot of depth, but you still can't afford to lose key, experienced players. Let's hope we get through this next season with everyone intact.04-cheers

I don't think we can assume anything. I do think it's safe to say that all these kids will play substantial minutes. They will all be Seniors with great experience, and all should be improved from their experience this year, and the confidence they should have gained from playing a lot. In Marcus's case, jucos are usually much better their second season in D1 ball than their first, so if he is better this next season than this season, then he'll be a strong candidate for the All Conference team.04-cheers
