Mike Dunleavy Sr. to be named new head coach.
That was splashy and unexpected. I like it.
Way to make waves
Definitely adds to the roster of name brand coaches in this conference. Congratulations. 04-cheers

Well it is splashy and unexpected

He actually has several TU/NOLA connections

So many of these coaches had the same resume to me that, what the heck. Go off the board.

Now if he can bring his son along....
Larry Brown
Mick Cronin
Kevin Ollie
Fran Dunphy
Kelvin Sampson
Frank Haith
Mike Dunleavy
Johnny Dawkins

That's a pretty damn impressive line-up.

Hopefully ECU, Memphis, and USF will follow suit.
I think very soon, Tulane fans will be the ones making jokes about schools not the other way around. You are all witnessing a sleeping giant being awakened.

I’ve thought this way for a while, you get the right X’s and O’s coach who’s a good salesmen that’s selling almost every game on national TV, the roster of AAC teams in a multi bid league, a top notch education AND the city of New Orleans and he can do some serious damage!

Congratulations Tulane fans.
Impressive hire imho.

We're stuck in mediocrity for another year at least.

Understandable though with that ridiculous buy-out. Antigua is still new, but needs to show something next season IMO.

The real head-scratcher is ECU and Lebo. I just can't fathom how ECU fired their football HC, but gives a pass when it comes to basketball (the sport that kept them from upgrading conferences for many years)... 01-wingedeagle

I actually knew Johnny Dawkins when he was at Duke. Great, great guy...but until he does something, you need to remove him from the "impressive line-up."

Newsflash: basketball is your #2 money sport. ECU is losing big on the back end, and Lebo's buyout is only about 1 year of Pastner.

Excellent hire. Better than some low level assistant from some mediocre school no one has heard of.
