Ingram is the same guy that has been blocking giving you a raise for the last year, and now he's the gatekeeper for the job you want...

Didn't he just get a raise?

I don't know that. They didn't call me.

Ehsan is pretty trim...

Wait, is that in reference to Haase's huskiness?
Yeah I don't think Kennedy leaves after they just built him a new arena

Fwiw, lots of talk on Jox that Ehsan is the guy the boosters want. Hell, maybe they're just reading this message board.

Other names they've mentioned are John Pelphrey, Andy Kennedy, some Duke assistant, Scott Pagett at Samford, and Rick Stansbury even thought he's going to WKU.

Given that list I'd definitely take Ehsan. AK isn't leaving Ole Miss unless he's fired and it's not like he's been a world beater while there.

Not a big fan of Pelphrey either.

Wjox only mentioned pelphrey because they they're friends and had him on all year.
By them mentioning Kennedy it is pretty much proof that Jox is clueless on basketball.
This transition comes at a critical time for UAB basketball. We are recruiting against Pearl and Johnson to be the dominate basketball force in Alabama. This have to be a splash hire, If you have the ears of the UAB AD, tell him to look no further than Auburn for the next UAB Coach.

Chuck Conner Person, the Rifleman, State of Alabama legend. NBA all star. His Asst Coach stops , Cavaliers, Pacers Kings and Lakers. He is the top Asst and recruiter for Auburn, and is considered the Auburn coach in waiting. He is the first cousin of the Auburn' Wileys, and the sole reason Wiley committed to Auburn..If UAB could get Chuck Person to come to the South side, It would be the splash hire UAB needs.

That's just the scarring from all the floor burns.
Rob would be a good choice.

Wasn't Pelphrey considered by UAB at some point in the past and chose to go to work at USA instead? As I recall, he didn't work out there either.
What basketball coaches does Ingram have connections To? At Temple? Tennessee?
Chuck Person would be an inspired hire. I don't see him leaving Auburn though.

Agreed. Even though it's a head coaching job, I don't see him leaving his alma mater.
Anyone know coaching philosophy of Ehsan? Certainly influenced by Haase but is he likely to employ same system or what is his background outside of Maryland and with Haase.

He is the coach in WAITING...where he waits is not important...if the job comes open at Auburn, he could leave like every other coach, until then we get the splash hire, a former NBA all star and still Alabama Legend. The kids would love him and we would have balanced the coaching powers in Alabama.

Pat Summitt.

Not sure. He was at Virginia Tech for 1 or 2 years under Seth Greenburg, not that that counts for anytbing. I guess the one knock against Ehsan is that he's never been a number one assistant under a big time coach like Haase or Mike Anderson was. He started his assistant coaching career at Maryland and that was in the last few years of Gary Williams' career, so I don't know how much he learned from him. I have heard that he would call 50 percent of our plays. Maybe Haase was grooming him to be the next guy here...

He may make more $ at Auburn than what we could offer him.
