Yeah, the only time I think of "plush" and "Shreveport" in the same sentence is the Beanie Babies at the Flying J.

Shreveport isn't luxe, but first of all, it's a bowl I can get to and the Blazers are in it, I'd go. Second, for a weekend trip you have the game, cajun food and zydeco music, and casinos. A good time is there to be had, even if it isn't a vacation hideaway.

have you looked at a map????? The Cajuns and zydeco are at the OTHER end of the state! Thats like saying the Birmingham Bowl is in Alabama so I'll get to enjoy those beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast beaches while I'm there...

Shreveport is a lot more like Paducah than Opelousas.
