Thinking about Rhoades and the men's (and Coach Langley's women's) Hoops training preparations when I see this video. I ran the Houston marathon when I was on campus, my first and only one, and what helped me was there are no real big hills in Houston. Unlike this race in Sloveneia:

This 'vertical race' in Slovenia is one of the most difficult in the world

The Red Bull 400 is an annual 400 meter race, but what sets it apart is that the track is at an almost vertical incline, on a Slovenian hill usually used for ski jumping. The race, which requires the use of both hands and feet, is absolutely grueling. 300 participants had the chance to run the classic athletics distance of 400 meters almost vertically up to the Planica ski jumping hill. Check out the highlights from the prestigious event!

Maybe the video will give Coach Rhoades some new ideas? (There's always stairs and tall buildings!)
