Calkins is wrong. Memphis can't do s h i t unless the boy blunder agrees to it.

If Paz is back next season Memphis bb will be the biggest joke in the country.

That was kind of the point of the article. They should try to come to a mutual agreement that benefits both parties.
It used to just cost around a thousand bucks or so to rent out the coliseum, as I recall. Wonder if I could rent out half the Forum when the Tigers play next year, sell tickets for 50 cents and make money?

Price too high.
Anything at this point is a good sign. Geoff just needs to apply the pressure in the proper place
Has Bowen announced a press conference yet?
He stole that idea from Parrish. He was saying that on his radio show last week.
If we had won today, maybe someone would have hired JP.

Who wants him now that's not offering $400k or less a year?

UALR.....their coach will be moving on and UALR has never hired a coach with JPs resume.
This is not Parrish or Calkins idea. This is obvious. This would be a cupcake question on a law school exam.

Bingo. He isn't just offering conjecture here. Patience.

We were saying that here 2 months ago.
Why do we need to look for clues? Somebody must know more than he is saying. Comeone...Spill it.
No way do I think thats happening. Its like my dad used to say to me, "that'd be too much like doing right". I think one of the main things thats been his problem since he's been here which will eventually lead to his downfall is his stubborness. He's refused to take advice and listen to anyone and replace or hire new coaches when his staff got picked off to replace them with other guys who were former coaches and know xs and os. It won't be the only thing that gets him canned but it'll be right up there with everything else. He's not gonna willingly leave this job come hell or highwater...even if he's miserable.

He's still delusional enough to believe he's doing a good job now and probably thinks he's done a great job overall and is still making excuses. Only way he's leaving is when they can finally afford to fire him.
The idea is reasonable but they won’t be dealing with a “Reasonable” counterpart. He’ll turn any deal down because HE didn’t think of it. Sorry but IMHO dude is a bit unbalanced.

I still say let him sit in his own mess. Hey, he created it. Once a couple of empty whisky bottles whizzes by his head he’ll wise up and get the message to get the hell outa here ASAP.
Honest question- has there ever been a head coach more universally disliked who continued on at that school? Don't get into semantics- maybe disliked isn't the right word- "wanted gone" may be better. I tried thinking of one and couldn't do it. This contract has created a very bizarre situation where everyone wants him gone and nobody can do anything about it. I can't recall a similar situation.

Tom Crean at Indiana. Except it's not the contract keeping him there, it's that he keeps winning B10 championships.
