First off, if where the women played their tourney is your home arena, that is definitely top 3 in the conference (i am biased to the Ted)!

Second, I just finally got to watch the replay of the UAB/WKU game on DVR and I am not understanding why the 3 that your point guard (#2) hit was waved off when the foul away from the ball was blown well after the shot. Any explanation for this?

Third, if you have nothing to do tomorrow afternoon, our guys would love the support. I think i speak for Monarch Nation (at least those of us who COULDN'T make the trip) that our guys would be grateful to have some support in the stands! Plus if you haven't had a chance to see Freeman play, I would highly recommend catching the game!
I will be there and since you asked if will be cheering for ODU.
Saw Freeman drop 40 something on Western Kentucky. ..
Good luck. ..
So does anyone know the explanation for the shot that was waved off?

1. The arena with the green seats is our home arena & we absolutely LOVE Bartow Arena. The arena with the blue and red seats was our home arena before 1988.

2. It was a very close call, but I didn't think it was enough to overturn the initial decision.

3. Caught your game earlier today. There was a group of us UAB fans cheering y'all on today. We REALLY irritated the WKU Twitter crew in front of us.

I tweeted out that Steph Curry was wearing a #20 ODU jersey today.

Good luck tomorrow!
I plan on going and cheering for ODU. I think you guys can win a game in the NCAA behind Freeman.
I won't be going to the game tomorrow but I hope you guys win it. I have fond memories of watching ODU and UAB games as a kid and I was happy when you guys were added to CUSA. I also think yall should have received a bid last year. Good luck.
i'll be cheering for old school sunbelt go ODU

What I heard was that the shot beat the light but not the buzzer, and they went by the buzzer.
In the UAB women's game, the tying shot from midcourt beat the buzzer but not the light. They went with the light and the shot was waved off. Gotta love CUSA officiating inconsistency...

The 3-pointer was not waved off. They counted the shot. They called a foul after the shot on William Lee. Didn't look like a particularly good call to me. Lee got tangled up with a WKU player and they both fell out of bounds. The WKU dude landed on top of him but the bald head ref said Lee pulled him down. I thought Haase was going to get his first real technical on that one.
I like ODU. Hoping they will represent us in the NCAA tournament.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought the shot was waved off.

The referee who called the foul on Lee for being tackled did signal to wave off the basket as well, but the points weren't deducted - he may have been overruled or made the signal involunarily in his lookatme lookatme orgasm of delight.
First of all screw all you guys supporting Old Dirty.03-nutkick
I rescind all my #freeUAB support. 01-lauramac2

Second of, all if any of you want to sell tickets please DM me. I am heading down to spend money in your great city(unlike those salty bastages from OdorU) . Go Blue!
If I'd seen this yesterday I could have hooked you up.

Then you went and rescinded your support. 03-lol

For what it's worth I like MTSU pretty well also. Of all the other teams in CUSA, ODU and MTSU were the two I wanted to see in the finals (if UAB wasn't going to be a part of it). I'd be glad and support either in the NCAAs. Couldn't honestly say the same for some of the other teams/coaches in the league.
MTSU is probably breathing a sigh of relief that they don't have to play UAB today. They do not match up well against us at all.

We are. Although I think historically it's hard to beat a team 3 times. Also there is a part of me that wanted to beat the best to be the best.
I hope Freeman goes off for 50 and beats MT.

Isn't beating us twice enough? Come on, let us go to the NCAAs. 01-lauramac2
