We should graciously accept any opportunity to continue playing and improve our program. Or we can follow your philosophy and sit at home while other similar schools accept offers and keep improving and pass us by.

Please provide the evidence that it hasn't helped. For all you know, playing at Louisiana-Monroe last year in the CBI helped us to get some big kid from Baton Rouge.

Recruiting is one aspect. The others you are not acknowledging include more practice time that other non tourney teams don't get, more game play experience (especially for young and developing players). What about more opportunities for the team to learn how to close out games against good competition? If money and the idea that "we don't deserve it" are the only points against accepting tourney bids then the choice is obvious.
