From Jerry Palm-

So far, 11 conference tournaments have been completed, and only one top seed has emerged victorious. That was Monday night, when Chattanooga won the Southern Conference tournament as the No. 1 seed. It's been a rough year to be a regular season champion.

There is only one tournament that I really want the #1 seed to win. Upsets likely help us if we win our tournament. Probably will hurt our seeding if we end up in the NIT. Just hopeful we get one home game if we go to the NIT.
At this rate, most, if not all the at-large bids will go to the big-name schools for the NCAA Tournament, as well as the NIT.
Making me really nervous about our tournament.

Most, but certainly not all.

Can't argue at ton with that since almost 40% of the NCAA/NIT field will be mid to low majors.
This NIT should be higher quality than usual, it looks like.
My Pitt Panthers are on the verge of punching their ticket - and sending Syracuse to the NIT. (But wait until it is over.)
Or it could be the other way around.
Pitt hung on by a point.

Wow. Wouldn't it be something if we got a team like Syracuse in Little Rock for the NIT. Probably unlikely, because they will be a high seed. Still, it would be exciting to get a program who would never ever consider coming in here for a regular season game.
I wonder if the upset train will continue into the money conference tournaments.
12 of 13 as UAB goes down.
National Mid-Major Championship

Looks like the NIT will be about 50/50. 50% mid-major regular season champs and 50% from non mid-majors.
