Boys and girls, this is it: Tourney Week or the Journey to Cleveland.
MAC men are strong and very well balanced.
The MAC women are top heavy (can't believe I said that). I mean the top of the MAC women's tourney is very, very strong.
Tomorrow should be a fun day at the Convo with a tailgate inside the atrium of the Convo. See the EMU website for details.
As far as the men are concerned: #InstantRivals (TOL). Should be a lot of Toledians at the game.
And EMU students???? (come on, EagleNation!!!).
It's very difficult to beat the same team 3 times in one season.

It's very, very difficult to beat someone 3 times in a season. I don't expect Raven will go off for 26pts, but again there's no way that Toledo could stay in front of him especially no 13 (very unathletic defender). Also, I am sure Toledo will make adjustments to our zone. Should be easier for UT to attack zone after playing against it a couple days earlier. I will hold my prediction.......
Plus UT will be fired up since James Thompson addressed UT coach and fans (I was at the game). This could be a big rivalry over the next couple of years.
And YES we need to start rivalries w. BSU and TOL!
One good thing about the Horizon League is the strong rivalry between UDM and OU.
Thank the Lord the driving weather will be decent.

In my opinion Toledo and WMU are already are two biggest rivals based on the quality of their fanbase.
There's this cliche that "it's hard to beat a team 3 times in one season," but statistically, the best predictor in college basketball of who will win a 3rd game is a team that won the first two. We did it to CMU two years ago (granted, it was a weak CMU team).
Maybe it should read "it's hard to beat a GOOD team 3 times in one season." But if a team wins at home and on the road over an opponent, you would think that team has an advantage.
All that said, I'm still nervous for Monday.
We also did it 3 years ago against NIU. Granted, those teams weren't as talented as Toledo, but I agree with your point. We match up well with Toledo...hopefully we take advantage again.
Perfect scenario - beat Tol, upset Akron, then find CMU in the MAC semis if they can win their game (how in the h3ll did they get a bye anyway???)
We'll be a slight favorite mens game, we are 7 and 3 over the last 10 which is a good sign.
We're actually a 2 point dog today. Does Vegas know something we don't?
We are technically playing on a neutral court. Toledo has a higher KenPom, if I remember correctly. That's the only explanation I can think of, unless you're right in that they know something we don't.

My guess is that bettors are assuming an 8 can't beat a 9 3 out of 3 times.
Lots of hype on social media for the Toledo game. Hopefully we get a good crowd for this one.
Looks like a good deal of Greek Life students in the student section for the women's game. That is a good sign for the men's game. About time they do some marketing to this student population.
I was going to say that the student section looks mostly full. Need to generate some energy tonight!
Women up 5 at the end of 3 quarters.
