Will someone on the squad step forward to take their place? We've got to get some perimeter shooting from someone. I think our bigs will be good once again. Our guards will be the key. I see some potential, especially with Sharde Collins. She looks to be the possible big scorer next year. Coach Foley continues to build really tough teams, and I'm sure next season will be no different.04-cheers
I personally believe Foley has his work cut out for him as far as recruiting goes. I really don't think we have a lot of talent on the bench that looks like scoring talent. I know defense wins championships, but you can't shut folks out in basketball, so you've got to be able to score enough for you defense to win. That's how our men's team wins. They score enough for their defense to allow them to win, most nights. They didn't at App State and we lost. That's the way it works. I think App state scored 100 points recently, and lost because their defense gave up 101. You've got to be able to score. And let's be realistic, we struggle with our shooting on the women's team. We're lucky we have a great coach, he's able to win some games we probably should lose.
I seem to recall he thinks he has had a very good recruiting year. Maybe some of the new players will be shooters.

I know he likes the high school players, but maybe he needs to look in the juco ranks. He got a good point guard out of there in Alexius, although she has become the two guard.
Interesting that he signed Autumn Williams out of juco, and she's hardly played this season, but lately she's been getting some minutes. Maybe she'll blossom into a scorer. She has good size for a perimeter player and seems to be pretty aggressive on both ends of the court. Also, Deja McKinney, I'm told, is a good shooter, and she'll be a sophomore next season. I feel confident Coach Foley will make things work.
