Lunardi has us as a 14 seed playing 3 oregon. I like the matchup.

That would be an interesting matchup, considering they beat Bama at Legacy Arena this season.

Yep, I don't want that match up at that location.

I think it's USA Today's bracket that has a 3 playing UTAH, can't remember where though. That would be a good matchup I think.

Why is Oregon a 3 seed ? They are a Top 5 team.

If UAB is 29-5 on Selection Sunday, I think you'll get a 13-seed.

If so, we get to hear Jay Bilas rage about how UAB somehow got a 13th seed when they shouldnt have.. :)

Because Oregon is not a basketball blueblood. You could take the golden state warriors roster, have them play a college season, let them crush everyone they play, and they would be a #1 seed. Unless they were playing for Belmont, in which case they would be a #5 seed that has to prove they belong.

Because the AP/Coaches Poll does not affect seeding for the tournament.

Oregon is ranked 9 in one poll and 10 in the other so a 3 seed is right in line with their ranking.

Sadly, it is the basis for how teams are judged. And tweaked to make sure it favors power conferences
