but...since they do not....If Trump wins as expected tomorrow?...It could be over.

The only way the GOP can slow him at that point is for the other candidates to urge their supporters to vote for Kasich in Ohio...vote for Rubio in Florida. If Trump wins any of those states? Its over Johnny.

The March 15 primary is the last stand of the GOP insiders to stop Trump. At this point? I don't see it happening.
Would it not be concerning that the party would take over the reigns because they don't trust the people?

I'll defer to the greatest American to have ever lived and a hero of mine who dealt with much the same issue 100 years ago...

The most insidious idea in America today is that the average American is stupid and can't be trusted to protect himself, vote his own interest, or decide their own future. If you truly believe that then you cannot be a true democrat.

It's remarkable how much dialects have changed in America in only 100 years

I like Teddy Roosevelt's personality but he was a proto Progressive.

No and no. It won't be over tonight, but nobody is going to stop him. I can think of no scenario where he doesn't win a good 40 out of the 46 States remaining, but I predict nobody gets out after tonight. He'll lose Texas and I don't think he'll appeal to the West Coast or the libertarian minded Mountain West. Kasich and Rubio have outside chances to win Florida and Ohio. But they can't stop him from getting the majority. Just read the comments. We are under the same spell Obama put us under.

I would rank Teddy Roosevelt No. 1 and a personal hero as well. From his new nationalism speech:

Quote: It is necessary that laws should be passed to prohibit the use of corporate funds directly or indirectly for political purposes; it is still more necessary that such laws should be thoroughly enforced. Corporate expenditures for political purposes, and especially such expenditures by public-service corporations, have supplied one of the principal sources of corruption in our political affairs.

Childhood wealth aside, Trump reminds me a lot more of Andrew Jackson, who was also despised both by his own party, and by the opposition, and whose persona so angered people, they literally created a new party whose only agenda was opposing Andrew Jackson: the Whig party.

Jackson was a great president. He never apologized for his nationalism.
I'll put Trump up there with Teddy when it comes to strength of persona and will.

Yeah, that time when he ordered large scale genocide was particularly great..
Jackson is my second favorite president. He was a great man.

He paid off the debt, stood ready to help Texas, fought a corrupt bank and promoted American strength.

I disagree with him not letting South Carolina secede. But otherwise, he is a great President. The Trail of Tears was unfortunate, but his good outweighed that episode.
