With a record of 26-3, the best in the country, we get 1 vote in the USA Today poll, and 2 in the AP poll. I realize that we may have not played the toughest schedule, but a record like that deserves better!
More than usual number of the #25 sorts out there this year.

To vote for us, a voter must believe we are one of the 25 best teams in the country. In all honesty, I couldn't say I believe that. Top 40, maybe. I do think we could beat a 20-25 team, on a neutral court, in the NCAA tournament. Still, it's hard for me to argue we'd be better than middle of the pack in the Big 12, ACC, etc. I guess that becomes the question for the committee if we lose in the tourney. Are we better than a middle of the pack team from a P5 conference? That is who we will be competing against for an at large spot.

Probably the toughest question the committee faces every year.

A win at Texas Tech would have given them the answer. Hopefully, the loss at TT won't be the answer to the question, but unfortunately it might be.
