He's been asked to produce documents and testify in a Kentucky divorce case involving a Louisville trustee appropriately named "Blue."

Sounds like a messy divorce and a power move by the more powerful player in that marriage.

I'm sure this will be a PR blurb for a little while and then when the KY judges don't sign it the story will go away.

If you would turn your focus from Louisville & onto the sports world you would notice that affairs by coaches & players are common. Even Magic had one & got Aids. It's a national epidemic & not just a Louisville problem.

But not everybody has Rick Pitino, and Bobby Petrino, and the basketball hooker scandal.

My speculation is that Louisville is just big time enough that you get these kinds of problems by making big time hires, but not big time enough that people know how to handle these things more quietly.

Oh there's no doubt that the UofL has drawn attention to itself by those 3 scandals & believe me, we the fans are angered by it. President Ramsey, AD Jurich & HCRP are under tremendous pressure right now.

I wouldn't say that ... rather, it's the focus U of L athletics gets in this town, being the #1 sports outlet. Local news breaks it, national news jumps on it because it's salacious. Throw on top of that the recent spate of success, and this kind of thing will definitely follow.

Denny Crum had several affairs. Yet nothing blew up in the news about it. Different time. Different era. Zero bloggers, message boards, chat room forums to fill .... U of L in nowhere near the power position it finds itself in now. So totally different reaction in the media.

The fact that people cast judgement on the sexual impropriety always cracks me up. The only way to not be hypocritical in this, is to have zero connection to any other organization - work, school, churches, gym, wherever ... People act on sexual impulses ALL THE TIME.

Consenting adults cheat on each other all the time, and all over the place.

Not excusing the behavior ... just telling it like it is.

It is a society issue...if Bill Clinton can still be a popular figure in this country and if Donald Trump and his numerous affairs can be the GOP Frontrunner...unfortunately it is what it is.

Charlie Strong issue is more with his family and the $$$ men in Austin, Texas...not so much Louisville.
The Bad PR the Ville's generated over the last some years is getting out of hand:

1--We've got this Strong-cheating-divorce biz now

2--Of course Strippergate (ongoing too)

3--Pitino's Federal Swingin-blackmail scandal

4--Petrino...well, just about everything from Arkansas-Evel Knievel--Falcons--first UofL job cheating stint

5---Let us not forget the Julie Hermann to Rutgers AD Brouharhaaarr

6--I won't even mention player trouble, most run-of-the-mill stuff that all schools deal with: party-pot-poontang...except for the armed robbery by that one football player in NC....
Another day, another sex scandal at Louisville. Yawn. They simply do not care how they are perceived by the outside world. There is no accountability there whatsoever.

This is between a couple of individuals and nothing else. This is not a Louisville sex scandal. This happens at many universities. Doesn't make it right though.
I thought it was Strong and slickie

That is the stupidest bs I've ever read. This is a natural epidemic & not just a Louisville one. Here's some research for you.

I'm sure Pitt has had it's shares of scandals but fortunately for Them there are enough pro franchises in town to put Pitts newsworthy accounts on the back pages of the paper instead of if You guys really mattered in the Pittsburgh media. Louisville and Kentucky are The game in town so it gets magnified by the local media.
Didn't Lane Kiffin sleep with a boosters wife or Saban's daughter? Dabo did come in second didn't he?
I'm not saying anything other than, morals do not = wins.
Charlie Strong Statement on his situation...long story short his only concern apparently is to win games at Texas:

"I was recently given information regarding a marital dispute between a couple I know in Louisville," Strong said. "I am not a party to their divorce and have received no court order in this case. I certainly respect the legal system, and if I do receive a court order, I will review it and respond then.

"Since this is a legal case, it wouldn't be appropriate for me to say anything further at this time. I do want Longhorns fans and supporters to know that this will not affect my focus in any way. My number one priority is getting this team ready to compete at the highest level. We are doing that now and will continue to do so."
