His Twitter still shows all EMU, a retweet about Raven's big game.

He is like 5 foot nothing, so it's understandable :)

Dear Friends,
I attended the Oakland game, and Stone was put in for a few plays. He really looked out of place, and that also burned his possible red-shirt. I don't know what has happened since, but I was at the Kent State game, and he did not play there.

He has played in 6 games this year. Some not against D1 opponents:
Oakland
Siena Heights
Michigan State
Marygrove
Madonna
Rochester College

That was a medical redshirt, but he played in 8.

Yes that would be. Naz's is the other.
No brainer: one schollie goes big and the other: PG.
My guess the PG could be a JUCO while the big man could be either JUCO or H.S.
I'd think Murphy wants a PG who can play 10 - 15 minutes next year and that would be a JUCO, not a frosh.
We have enough horses up front to take a frosh big man who would develop.

Someone projected Stone to be the next Earl Boykins and I laughed it off because I saw him play in highschool. Earl was a highschool phenom and All American. Stone is not a MAC caliber ball player. Maybe a low major......
I wish him the best!!!!

That was me Luckeyone. I might have been overestimating a little given the level of Earl, but you are way underestimating his skill level. He will land at a good mid-major and he will start.
He was a great pickup, and it's unfortunate he is leaving. He would've rode the bench again next year given EMU's solid 3 guard location. But PG job was his the year after that.
Too bad. Wish him the best though.

I think a shooting guard might be a bigger need than point. The only ones on the roster are Lee, Mangum, and Perry. Two of them will be seniors next year.
Both guard slots will definitely need to be filled after 16/17 though.

If he averages 10ppg in D1, I will buy you a surf and turf dinner. Just print this out and remind me when it happens.

Good luck to him.

I agree about the point guard (maybe Towns) or shooting guard ie Justin Turner either one.
However with the other scholie I like to get a combo guard/small forward scorer like Xavier Cochrane at Owens who is avg is 16 pts per game and 6 rebounds or Brown from Detroit high school who can score and rebound and play defense. Both are 6'5.
11. Marlo Brown, 6-5, Sr., G, Southfield Christian: He averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks during his junior year to help Southfield Christian advance to a Class C regional final, where it lost to eventual state champion Flint Beecher.
Brown has offers from Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Toledo, Kent State, Cornell and Brown and has interest from a number of Big Ten schools, including Wisconsin, Indiana and Iowa.
20 (tie). James Towns, 6-0, Jr., PG, Detroit Henry Ford: He averaged 16 points and 5.5 assists to help Henry Ford reach the Class B state championship game last year.
“He’s our point guard and the coach on the floor,” coach Ken Flowers said. “I’m looking for him to be first team in the city and state this year.”
Towns is being recruited by Eastern Michigan and Detroit.
