If this will be done by a vote, it looks like Atlanta should get it since it is the only eastern site. Western teams' votes would likely be split, unless we all get together and agree on Shreveport. No one will vote on Little Rock (except us and ASU) if they believe this year was not simply an aberration for us. All the sites are a reasonable drive for us and fun places to go. I assume the size of the bid will play a major role, but I doubt it will be the deciding factor unless one bid blows away the rest of them.

Benson says attendance at New Orleans is a point of concern. Ya think! Maybe our esteemed Commissioner should have thought of that before he shafted Hot Springs!
Happy to see the whole conference gets to be in the tourney next year! Hopefully it'll be a traditional bracket, too, and none of this double-bye garbage!

When you have 12 teams, there will definitely be teams playing more games than others. The bottom teams in the SEC have to win 5 straight games to win the tourney. You never want to have to do that. But, I'm still not sure I like having a bye and playing a team coming off a win in our first game. For example, playing UTA, coming off a win is not going to be easy. Whoever we play will have gotten the conference jitters out, gotten comfortable on the UNO floor, and will be coming of a win against a pretty solid team (i.e. likely 4 vs. 5). I probably like the current women's format best- Top 8 teams in a traditional bracket. The double=bye is supposed to give us a big advantage. Hopefully, it will.
