I like the Balls Tate basketball venue. Fans on top of the action. Seats close to the court. Must be loud and intimidating.

NIU is a different team on the road. Announcer said Ball State with its biggest crowd in years and it seems like the atmosphere is getting to the Huskies. I hope the MAC West is on the line in the rematch a few weeks from now as I like NIU's chances back at home against these guys.
We had Ball State in foul trouble early yet we kept taking long jump shots. If you can't make baskets then take the ball inside and force fouls to get some offense from free throws.

Damn...the reality is they just didn't shoot that well. It happens, Armstead was 1/12 and had an off night. Bummed about this loss

Yea that's not even close to why NIU lost. Couldn't box out and way too many second chance options for ball state. That's the difference even with how bad NIU has shot.
So, there is not a chance in heck that NIU touches the ball out of bounds---not even close....and they give the ball to Ball State with 2 on the clock and you leave a guy open for a 3. Nine point game instead of down 6 with the ball. Unbelievable. Why even have replay?
And enough of Armstead...continual stupid drives, flying layups not looking at the hoop.
I've never seen a team (us) miss so many layups and shots around the baskets....the missed out of bounds call and ensuing 3 pointer with only 2 secs left on the shot clock was a back breaker, but overall the refs were generous to us this game
We just suck on the road in MAC play. We have won 1 (?) road game in the MAC.
I don't know how we will win any games in the MAC Tournament with our road woes. Can this year's MAC Tournament be played at NIU?
