34 players of which 27 are new. This is definitely Coach Curry's team this year.

You mean he can't blame Norwood this year? Just kidding, I don't think I've ever read anywhere where he blamed anyone.
The Sun Belt was ranked 13th among baseball conferences last season, and that's in the top half of the 31 D-1 leagues. Reminds me of what a doctor told me once. He said "50% of all doctors finish in the bottom 50% of their med school class." Never looked at it like that. The Belt is in the top 50% of the D-1 baseball baseball conferences. Not too shabby.
We have an advantage - Sun. Just hard to develop a baseball program in February in blizzard conditions.

The advantage that you guys have is minimal given the changing Arkansas weather every February. Last year, AState's baseball team played it's first 2 games at home, and then went 35 days without playing a single home game, or being able to hold a single practice because the weather was so terrible.

It's part of the reason we're playing at UAB this weekend, and @ Atlanta next weekend. Coaches don't want to risk that mess again.

If you want to talk advantages, look at the one Lafayette gets. Cajuns are outside in 70 degree weather much of the time, with very few issues. It's a huge advantage over our two respective teams. South and Texas State enjoy similar benefits.

"We" meaning the Sun Belt year in and year out. Imagine what it must have been like in Boston and Buffalo.

That's why all those Northern teams spend the first few weeks or maybe a month on the road playing teams in the South.
