I didn't listen to all the game last night, but when I did, I never did hear Ray say why Kemy wasn't playing more than he did. Saw today that he only played 13 minutes and only took one shot.

I figure Mo got some of his minutes.

Mo is a fine shooter, but he is also showing really good defensive skills. That might have been the reason. He might have been a better matchup for this particular game than Kemy. Or it could have been something else. We need them both down the stretch.

I saw on Saturday that Coach Beard started Mareik at the 3, and several different times had Mareik,Daniel and Lis in the game at the same time. That was good to see especially since Mareik was always told by Shields that he could never play 3. Now he is playing the 3,4 and 5 and I wouldn't be surprised if he came back next year and played the 2,3,4 and 5. No team in the country have anyone who can to that and that's what going to have the NBA all over him next year. Especially when he is 100% healthy. Happy for you Mareik keep getting better young man and prove all doubters wrong.

I just looked over the stats from that game, and Kemy had 13 minutes, but Mo only had 16. The difference in minutes came from Daniel playing 18 minutes and Jermaine 24. Jalen hardly played. I think he only had 6 minutes. Coach Beard seems to be able to figure out who needs to play against whom, in order to win. I haven't checked, but I think two of our three losses were by less than 5 points.
The only bad loss was to Texas Tech. Not bad.

Mareik got in foul trouble early and sat out most of the first half.

But Kemy didn't get his minutes. They went to Jermaine and Daniel, and both really played well. That's the strength of this team. A lot of players who can step in and contribute.

Mix and match. Depends on the situation.
