Does anyone know if we're having a Spring Game that is open to the public, and if so, what the details are? I probably could make the trip this Spring, but need to be planning ahead for it.

Would love to see New Nippert...
Jerry, last time I heard, we are having one, but details (when? where?) are not final. As for the "where?" either JeffAve or Nippert I guess.

Doubt it would be at Nippert as I suspect the good dates are reserved for The Lindner clans Futbal Empire.
Pretty sure it's April 2nd. Not sure which venue though.

Doss, did you hear about the FC Cincy's first big promotion? They're doing a Bernie Sanders rally during the game.

It would be the perfect demographic for Sanders, a pinko for a pinko crowd. As we know Futbal is a Socialist Sport.

Actually, the manner in which the European leagues promote/demote teams based on play, makes it much less socialist than American collegiate athletics, where schools like Washington State, Boston College, Rutgers and Wake Forest rake in huge welfare checks, just because they are in the same conferences as USC, Florida State, Ohio State, etc.

Pinko, I love it. I have not heard that term since Archie Bunker. Even with the very poor taste in my mouth from last year's finish, I am still very stoked for the spring game. I enjoy the spring game more than the fcs game. I can only assume that Boone will gain yards at will again and the two qbs will shred the defense. A good showing by the defense may forecast for a good season. My biggest worry is the state of the oline.
your biggest worry should be the head coach. it starts at the top.

Believe me I know, but I have already beat that horse to death. We are stuck with Flubbs another year. On the other hand the olineman can at least be demoted for poor execution.

Right on. I fear another year of Flubberville. We have one coach who wants to retire here (Cronin) and another that has retired here (TT).

Please dear B12 take us in so we have the money to hire a unretired coach.

Thanks... I looked on "Gobearcats.com" but didn't see anything.

The thought of having it at the JeffersonAve/Sheakley complex is disheartening to me when you have a newly remodeled stadium...one that the Spring Game has been bumped out of for the past two years because of construction...available. I don't know how serious all that talk was about UC football getting bumped for FC Cincinnati, but I'd rather they just not have a public scrimmage than to play it at what, for all intents and purposes is a small HS stadium. I remember too well what happened when Pitt moved their game to a local HS field...

Not to mention that three years ago the bubble was still up on the practice field meaning that, when weather forced the game inside (severe thunderstorms and lightning) only a few dozen people could actually see it. If the bubble is still up, that pretty much precludes using the Jefferson Ave./Sheakley grandstand.

The school no longer promotes the spring game as an 'event' so having it at Sheakley is appropriate for what it is. We've had it there two out of the last 3 years and the crowds have been pretty full there. Still not as fun as having 10k+ in Nippert like when BK was here, though.

And the bubble is down when the game is scheduled for Sheakley. One year under Butch it was supposed to be in Nippert but weather forced it in the bubble.
I like it at Sheakley. All seats close to the action and you can go down to the sideline and see who the Bearcats are recruiting. Last year Kiante Enis was very visible along with some Cincy high school players.
