Saw a twitter post this morning stating that Coach Beard said some ULM students or fans spit on them as they left the floor after the game last night. If true that is a pitiful display that the school should be ashamed of. I think it's very likely we will see ULM again in New Orleans and it will be even more reason to beat them. I love enthusiastic fans and think they can help their teams but this type of behavior is over the line and wrong.
Not excusing what happened, but one or two jerks can give an entire school a bad name.
And, that is the sort of thing that gets a nice rivalry going.
Very true. Imagine what might have happened if they had lost the game? I guess we should expect more of the same the rest of the way.

I of course didn't see anything like that if it happened, but if it did it is shameful and not representative of our entire fan base. Apologies if it did happen. That is totally unacceptable and they should have been arrested or at least removed by police if it did. Would love a bigger rivalry with you guys do to our distance. Glad to see both programs doing well.
I agree Arrowhead. A few bad eggs can spoil the bunch. You guys have a fine team no doubt. Hopefully this sort of thing won't become the norm because you can see a player retaliating and getting a suspension or a criminal charge as a result. No one should have to deal with that sort of thing no matter the circumstances.

I don't think Coach Beard would make up something like that, so I firmly believe it did happen.
I remember an asu game at Alltel Arena when my 12-year-old son and I were sitting by the UALR bench. During the National Anthem something was thrown at the UALR bench and it hit my son just below his eye. It resulted in a black eye. It is hard to find any empathy for a fan base when something like that happens.
