If true, this is rather disappointing. Not to mention it will sink any hopes of a successful senate run.

Quote:WASHINGTON — The hedge fund manager boasted that he had traveled to “every country” in the world, studying overseas stock markets as he fine-tuned an investment strategy to capitalize on global companies’ suffering because of economic or political turmoil.

But the fund manager had an even more distinctive credential to showcase in his marketing material in June 2013: He was a “U.S. congressman,” Representative Alan Grayson, Democrat of Florida, a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Now he is also among the leading Democratic candidates for one of Florida’s United States Senate seats.

This highly unusual dual role — a sitting House lawmaker running a hedge fund, which until recently had operations in the Cayman Islands — has led to an investigation of Mr. Grayson by the House Committee on Ethics.

The inquiry has become public, but emails and marketing documents obtained by The New York Times show the extent to which Mr. Grayson’s roles as a hedge fund manager and a member of Congress were intertwined, and how he promoted his international travels, some with congressional delegations, to solicit business.

Alan Grayson’s Double Life: Congressman and Hedge Fund Manager
Is he not the mudslinger from Florida?
Since a hedge fund manager has a 100 hour a week job, when did he find time to be in Congress? Not that today's congressional schedule is daunting, but I digress.

If as you say, it's true, this guy becomes the de facto poster boy for crony capitalism.

This is the kind of crap I think we all want to see stopped.

Yep - one and the same.

Wait, we should all send bigger checks to our benevolent Federal government where guys like this can spend it wisely and totally for the public good. Puke.......

Yep, my last 3 congresscritters walked away from million dollar jobs and businesses to work for $150k in DC. All were middle-aged, had families to support, and had plenty of juice left in their careers. Certainly begs the question... why? And then how does this congress backchannel money get laundered?

The last two from my district also. I know both of them (not well) but I can say without any doubt, it was merely an ego trip. Money didn't matter to either.

Yea, He's that fat, loudmouthed Dooshbag that got tossed from the House for a spell, then somehow managed to get reelected.

couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
How is one disappointed in a low life scum. Shouldn't have anything but the lowest regards for such a despicable human. And a desire to deliver a swift kick to the nuts if ever given the opportunity.
A democrat trial lawyer. What a shock

Dude, what the **** is your problem? For at least the 4th or 5th time, I never claimed I was a moderate. I'm a liberal and an independent whose beliefs mostly, but not totally, align with the Democrats.

Are you ever going to get it? Geez!

What do you call the greed and envy of the left? Got some other words? Like your substituting mistake for crime.

And Grayson reflects what you think being a liberal and independent is all about?

Not surprised at all. He's a deadbeat dad and a dirtbag husband. Shouldn't expect him to be a guy of high character in other areas.
He is a POS.
