They are now 6-15 and 1-9 in conference. Since we played them last they are 1-7, with their win coming against Texas State.

They likely will start 6-7, 6-6, 6-3 across the front line. They have three figures in double figures, led by Wesley Person at 16.7 ppg and Jordon Varnado at 15.1 ppg. The same five players have started all 21 games.

They are shooting 42.7% overall and 32.8% from the arc. They are minus-1 on the boards. Person and Varnado are their only real 3PT threats. Their numbers are not awful, but somewhere they are not able to get over the top most games. Depth may be a problem, as their bench does not appear to be very productive.

RealTime RPI has us by 23. Sagarin has us by 19.
CBS has us by 15 1/2.
Secret is not to get overconfident. The "take them one game at a time" surely applies to the Trojans right now. Don't be looking ahead. Take care of Troy. And then prepare for the next game. We have an opportunity we've seldom had in our program very few, if any, times. And I'm sure Coach Beard is aware of this situation and will prepare the team mentally.
And any loss might be a fatal hit at this point. For at-large.
I agree totally. Any team left on the schedule is capable of beating us if things go well for them and badly for us. Coach Beard and the players seem to have the right mindset. One game at a time and slow and steady wins the race. The main thing is that the fans get behind them and make some noise at the games which will help them. I am enjoying the ride this year.
We need to keep reminding ourselves that they were within 6 last time around.
Interesting that the worst team in the Sun Belt has wins over South Florida (American Athletic Conference), North Texas, Southern Miss, and took Ole Miss to overtime. Does suggest they have the ability to give us a game tonight unless they have already thrown in the towel.
Some more-than-ordinary consequences to this game. At this point, only Xavier and Maryland have 20 wins. Plus, there are eleven teams with 19 wins. 20 wins is probably the most recognizable number in the wins column. The teams that get there early get a little bit more visibility than when it becomes crowded later on.
Need to get #20 tonight.
