He's going to be a non q....
I have no problem with NQ's, give them a chance and if they don't take advantage of it, they gone.

I think that's a smart approach to the subject, but be prepared for the many "slings and arrows" surely to come your way for holding that compassionate position...particularly from you in-state brethren over in Greenville.
Where has it been reported he won't qualify? Or do you just know it?
If you can't qualify for WVU you might be a caveman.
According to the WVU sports guys he had grade issues, but it might only be to a point where he would need to get test scores up. What is for sure is that he couldn't meet Big XII admission standards (and the Big XII doesn't allow NQ's). So instead of signing with WVU he is considering Charlotte.

I agree. Historically, Charlotte has not been afraid to suspend and remove players from programs due to grades. I've got no problem giving kids a chance and even less of a problem keeping them off the field if academics are an issue.
I see absolutely no harm in it at all. I mean, the player has to go the first year on his own dime, cannot participate with the team, and prove he is committed to getting his grades/test scores up.

If it doesn't work out, it's on him and no skin off of the school's back, but it's a good way for a young man to get a second chance to make the grades and play college ball.

All we have to do is pump him full of Adderall, enroll him in some no-show paper classes, drop anything where the professor won't play ball, and he will be fine. Oh wait, that's not us. Nevermind.
I see in the article now they talk about it. Yesterday that article was different. It's been changed and more info added.
It'd be a really good get for Charlotte if they can keep him on the straight and narrow. I wonder why the Herd didn't give him a look?

That was my first thought as well, particularly if he is a NQ. You guys already have depth at that position?

Definitely in the two-deep with Birdsong and Litton... But we lost Holcome and Garvin hasn't seen the light of day.

We have three more years with Chase and only this coming season with Birdsong. Maybe we have recruited better QB prospects. I'm really not sure.

:chuckle:

If the NCAA doesnt do something soon, that's gonna be the standard playbook.
