Quote:123. Devin Powell, Tulane

Tulane is switching to a new offense under coach Willie Fritz, and the quarterback situation heads into spring with plenty of question marks. Tanner Lee transferred, and a couple of quarterbacks join the team from the 2016 recruiting class.

Quote:97. Kurt Benkert, East Carolina

Benkert was slated to start for East Carolina last season, but a torn ACL in August sidelined him for the entire year.

Quote:90. Tago Smith, Navy

It’s no secret Keenan Reynolds will be missed. However, Navy’s offense should be in good hands with Smith at the controls.

Quote:89. Riley Ferguson, Memphis

Paxton Lynch left early for the NFL Draft, but Memphis has an intriguing option stepping into the starting lineup. Ferguson – a former Tennessee quarterback – arrives in Memphis after throwing for 2,942 yards and 35 scores at Coffeyville Community College in 2015.

Quote:84. Bryant Shirreffs, UConn

NC State transfer helped UConn’s offense take a small step forward last year. Shirreffs threw for 2,078 yards and nine scores but also added 503 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Quote:80. Matt Davis, SMU

SMU should be better in its second season under coach Chad Morris. Quarterback play is under the spotlight, as Davis led the team with 761 rushing yards and threw for 2,263 yards and 16 scores. However, redshirt freshman Ben Hicks could push for the starting job.

Quote:77. Justin Holman, UCF

Injuries and new faces in the supporting cast prevented Holman from building off his 2014 season (2,952 yards and 23 scores). New coach Scott Frost should help Holman get back on track.
We might get his juco teammate WR Juwann Winfree. He is a 4* on rivals. He good to have a familiar target in his 1st season.
Dane Evans at 37, nice.

I actually think that's a bit of a lowball. He was #8 in the nation in terms of passing yardage. Yah, a lot of it has to do with the offense we run now, but we also ran the ball just about as much as we passed. I'd say he's as good or better than Kiel or Flowers at least in terms of productivity. He probably would have won some more games if Tulsa had any semblance of a defense.

Agreed
Memphis got Riley Ferguson? Huh, I missed that. Interested to see how he pans out.

Why you say that?
Sean Magwiyah ahead of PJ and Evans is hilarious.
Why only list the bottom half in the OP?
Gunner #24
I'm hoping Benkert is what we thought he was going to be. Unfortunately, he hasn't played and I'm ok with him being at the bottom of the list until he proves otherwise.
Nice! Ward at #5 is higher than I expected (with all the P5 bias). I don't see it happening...but it would be nice to see Ward in NYC in December this year. 04-cheers
Holy cow, QF is at #19??? That's amazing...
kiel is way too low, i feel they are punishing him for his injury ...when that has nothing to do with his game

taysom hill will likely be grad transfer 6th year redshirt...curious where theyd rank him

tulsa fans are saying dane evans is too low, it wa the defenses fault...look at 80. Matt Davis, SMU...when i watched smu, i never once thought their offense or qb was bad...matt davis on a team with a defense is way higher

UConn fans for some reason get mad about this but i think 84. Bryant Shirreffs is super low, no qb in uconns current offense will ever put up major numbers and i honestly dont think uconn has the recruiting power to run the offense they want (not an insult, i dont think anyone in this league has that recruiting power)..if uconn switched to a spread offense, or had alabama talent, i think sheriff would shine

He had an outstanding year

I don't claim to be "in the know" or anything but I have a hunch that Nelson will be getting the start this upcoming season. Benkert at #2, followed by Jacobs.

I'm looking forward to seeing the product that this new staff puts on the field.

He went to HS in Charlotte

Riley Ferguson vs Brady Davis will be fun come practice time....both are good QBs...I think Ferguson will end up as starter

Cinci could easily have 2 of the Top QB's in AAC...but who will get a majority of the PT in 2016? (injuries again could play a major role in that as well).

Matt Davis was good, but his total offensive output on the season was around 3,000 yds while Evans produced just over 4,300. Evans scored (slightly) more TD's even though everything near the goal line was a Zack Langer run for Tulsa.

Evans was the #3 QB in the league last season as far as QB rating. (I would honestly put him above Kiel simply because he wasn't hurt) You can make arguments for Ward or Flowers but they're really scatbacks masquerading as QB's.
